Europe's largest event dedicated to microscopy and imaging
The European Microscopy Congress 2020 (emc2020) will be held in Copenhagen. It will bring the world of scientific imaging together in one of Europe's most beautiful cities.
Microscopists, manufacturers, and suppliers will come to share new techniques, new applications, and new technology.
The European Microscopy Congress is held every four years under the auspices of the European Microscopy Society, and the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy.
For this first time since the inaugural European Microscopy Congress in 1956, emc is returning to Scandinavia to take place in Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen from 24 - 28 August 2020.
Copenhagen is an ideal location within the Nordic region for emc2020, it is conveniently accessible from nearly all locations in Europe by either land or air. The beautiful city of Copenhagen is compact and easy to navigate with the majority of hotels, venues, sights and attractions within walking distance of each other.
emc2020 will take place at the Bella Center, Scandinavia’s largest exhibition and convention centre, just minutes away by the Copenhagen Metro from the city centre, Copenhagen Central Station and Copenhagen International Airport. Not only will emc2020 give you the opportunity to see the latest and greatest in microscopy and imaging, you will also be able to explore this incredible city, said to be the world’s most liveable city.
Whilst the emc2020 social programme should provide you with the chance to experience some great venues throughout Copenhagen, be sure to stop by some of the ‘must-see’ attractions including the famous Little Mermaid and the port of Nyhavn, with its rows of multi-coloured houses by the quayside, synonymous with the city and the former home of Hans Christian Andersen.
